हर घर तिरंगा (Har Ghar Tiranga )

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. Our relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the flag home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.

The Indian National Flag is a symbol of national pride for the entire nation. To further honor our flag, the Hon'ble Home Minister who oversees all efforts under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has approved the program of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’. It envisages inspiring Indians everywhere to hoist the national flag at their home.

The Flag Code of India, 2002 was amended vide Order dated 30th December, 2021 and National Flag made of polyester or machine made Flag have been allowed. Now, the National Flag shall be made of hand-spun and handwoven or machine-made, cotton/polyester/wool/silk/khadi bunting.

Our sincere thanks to our Treasurer Jyoti Sinha who initiated the drive to distribute National Flag on the call of our beloved Prime Minister Sri Narendra Damodardas Modi. We are thankful to our Operation Director (Bihar) - Shravan Kumar, under his guidance, Abhishek Kumar Raja, Gagan Kumar and Mamta Devi distributed around 70+ flags in around 15 different villages on 14th and 15th August 2022 in Simri Bakhtiyarpur Block of Saharsa District, Bihar.

This emotional drive of distribution of National Flags from door to door brought the connectivity and attachment with the unknown people to our volunteers and Swastikam.
